Many current issues in medical bacteriology are of global significance, such as antibiotic resistance, tuberculosis, and hospital-acquired infection, while our understanding of the role of bacteria in maintaining human health has recently increased.
Many current issues in medical bacteriology are of global significance, such as antibiotic resistance, tuberculosis, and hospital-acquired infection, while our understanding of the role of bacteria in maintaining human health has recently increased. This MSc provides the skills necessary to understand, investigate and discover new strategies for intervention in these issues of pressing global concern.
This MSc provides knowledge and understanding, together with the opportunity to gain practical and analytical skills in contemporary medical bacteriology. Students gain experience of data analysis, interpretation and appropriate communication skills for data presentation, and have the opportunity to improve their critical skills in literature review. Practical skills in bacteriology will be acquired during the research project.
